Spent the day in Portoferraio on the island of Elba. This fortress and town are from the 1600's and is where Napoleon spent a year in exile. His house is now a museum. The bay is great for water sports, and the beach offers a relaxing venue. Some interesting local wines can be had at one of the many small vineyards.
