Samuel Hewitt - 2nd Engineer
2nd Engineer Samuel Hewitt was born in England in the Derbyshire Peak district. At 17 years old he joined the British Army Corps of Royal Engineers as an apprentice Engineer and Electrician. After finishing his Military Engineer training he completed his Electrical training at the Royal School of Military Engineering in Chatham, Kent. After 6 years of service Sam decided to make the transition into Yachting and has never looked back. Sam now holds his MCA Y3 Engineering License and is approaching his 6th year in the industry. Sam is looking forward to working with the highly experienced engineering team and professional crew on Cakewalk whilst enjoying traveling the world and continuing with his engineering studies. In his spare time Sam likes to maintain a good level of fitness and enjoys all types of sports especially those on the water. |
