Time Heywood

Tim Heywood - Designer

Tim Heywood Designs, U.K.

Tim Heywood got his start in the yachting industry for pragmatic reasons-after graduating from the Central School of Art and Design in London with a degree in Industrial Design Engineering, he needed a job!

Tim went to a studio in London called Jon Bannenberg Ltd. but didn't know at the time Jon was the world's leading yacht designer. Tim was hired and worked with the firm for over twenty years and enjoyed it immensely!

After this total immersion in the world of superyacht design Tim opened his own studio in 1996 with Vanessa Reville, whom he describes as "my partner in all things." With her support, he has gone on to design many exceptional projects, including Al Mirqab, the 2009 World Superyacht Awards Motor Yacht of the Year.
