Matthew Chaplin - 3rd Engineer
Matthew was born in Inverness, Scotland. He has been sailing since a very young age and raced with clubs and national squads throughout the UK. After 3 Years at University studying a BSC Computer Science and Psychology at Aberdeen University, Matthew decided to start travelling the globe which is how he found his way into the Yachting Industry as an IT Engineer 5 years ago. Matthew will shortly hold his MCA Y4 Engineering License and is looking forward to working as part of the highly experienced engineering team onboard M/Y Cakewalk. In his spare time he enjoys gym work, Muay Thai Boxing, and skiing.
